Ziga-Zaga | Gargar Festival

For the past couple of years I’ve been really fascinated with this one triangular form, and all the ways it can be repeated, rotated, stretched and re-sized to create endless compositions with entirely different impacts. This mural, painted for the 2023 edition of Gargar Festival, showcases one of these explorations, whereby the humble triangle is repeated and reflected to create a vibrant, tiled design that plays with positive and negative space. It was named ‘Ziga-zaga’ by members of the community, in honor of its dynamic and sharp forms.
